Bio- Jessica Weaver, AKA the author of the blog Not Your Father’s Advisor, is anything but typical. While most advisors are men in their 60s, when Jessica joined the finance industry over a decade ago, she took a stance to find her voice amid a sea of masculinity. Now, she’s a TV show host, four-time best-selling author, international speaker, and the founder of the Women’s Wealth Boutique and Pinkfix Productions, a multi-media productions company.
As a woman in a male-dominated industry, Jessica always felt like an outsider. She was plagued by the guilt of not fitting into the traditional advisor role, especially while working at her father’s firm. Despite her fear of taking a risk, she recognized it was more uncomfortable not to take one and went for her dreams. Since then, she’s turned down so many traditional opportunities (yes, even money!) to discover who she is, how to bring her best self to the table, and find her own significance in the world.
