Bio: Matthew Riddick is a prolific professional who possesses an astounding acumen and wealth of knowledge. He has excelled in his corporate and philanthropic endeavors while being recognized for his work throughout his career. Educationally, Matthew holds an Associate in Arts degree in Liberal Studies, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and a Juris Doctor in Law. Matthew’s wife Angela Riddick has been a trailblazer in her own right throughout her educational and professional career. She is a gifted arts and business leader who has showcased her talents on various platforms. Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Administration and a Master of Business Administration. Angela currently serves as leading Underwriter for the global firm, CHUBB. She is also a dynamic and award-winning Africana dancer who has displayed her talents with the Alvin Ailey Dance Studio, the LaRocque Bey School of Dance Theatre as well as performed on renowned stages such as the Apollo Theatre in New York and the Performing Arts Center of New Jersey.
In 2020, Matthew and Angela launched their non-profit The Riddick Foundation which provides advocacy and service to Black & Brown communities through scholarship, healthcare education, and mentorship. Since it’s inception, The Riddick Foundation as partnered with educational institutions to establish scholarships for Black business students, supported large entities such as the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America and the Dance Theatre of Harlem, mentored individuals for the improvement of social/business skills, and consulted individual consumers as & small businesses on the importance of healthcare. Matthew and Angela look to expand the reach of The Riddick Foundation by establishing an arts mentorship program which will teach how various forms of the arts can improve mental health and expression. Matthew and Angela’s vision for The Riddick Foundation is to develop the next generation of leaders within the Black and Brown community.
