Bio- As a North Philadelphia, PA, USA native, Dr. Jalaal A. Hayes was lauded as the youngest Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Delaware State University and America in December 2015 and 2016, respectively. His research focuses on lightweight metal hydrides for hydrogen storage applications such as fuel cells and clean energy generators. His work can be found in four peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings from the Gordon Research Conference (GRC) and many others. In March 2017, Dr. Hayes was granted a patent based on his research at the university. In 2019, he was a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Innovative Applied Energy held at the University of Oxford. Currently, he is serving as an assistant professor at Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, the nation’s oldest degree historically black college and university (HBCU).
