Bio: Every company, client, and project Emily Hartstone is involved with has to lead to something good. This idea is more than just the founding principle of her business, it's the core belief that keeps her grounded in her truth. As the Founder & CEO of From The Hart Management LLC, a motivational speaker, and entrepreneur, Emily lives for those powerful moments of connection when a client fully embodies their vision and has the courage to make a positive impact in the world.
Emily didn’t always know this would be her path. She grew up an international equestrian and never imagined horses would not be a part of her life. Then came the leukemia and graves disease diagnosis that completely flipped her world upside down and amplified the dark days that led her to discover what she was truly made of. Due to severe bone marrow loss, Emily has had countless surgeries and metal put into her face, and as a result, has been surviving on a strict diet of smoothies and mashed up Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Between battling cancer and working all day to pay for her treatments, there were moments when she wanted to give up.
The same pain and challenges she experienced helped to clarify her long-term vision and inspired her to get very intentional about the kinds of clients she chooses to work with and why. So, in January 2022, she made the leap into full-time entrepreneurship and started From The Hart Management LLC with a mission to provide strategic sales, events, and business management services for purpose-driven organizations. Every client she connects with is striving to create some kind of positive change in the world, and these are the only companies she's inspired to work with.
These guiding principles not only became the foundational approach of From The Hart Management LLC, but also informed the launch of Gifts From The Hart LLC, a boutique gift shop she opened with business partner, Chaunsea Keller, that donates 5% of all proceeds to various charities and foundations. Along her treatment journey, she encountered many patients who were being mistreated and felt deeply towards remedying the same. Emily went through a lot of physical and mental trauma due to her condition, and multiple surgeries took a toll on her. She wanted to be a beacon of hope for people in similar situations, and this prompted her to start EmPOWERThePATIENTS Foundation in 2018, in which she advocates, educates, and provides community support for chronic and rare disease patients. Her vision is to fund scientific development and work towards remedying the root cause of chronic and rare diseases, along with creating a top resource and support community for such patients. For this philanthropic initiative, she was nominated for the WEGO Health Awards for four consecutive years.
Emily has earned numerous accolades in her industry including the Connect Association 40 Under 40, 2022 TSNN Outstanding Show Pro Award, 2023 Smart Women in Meetings Entrepreneur Award, and named among WomElle’s 2023 She’s Possible Top 10 Entrepreneurs. She has also recently become a member of the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP), in which members must be invited by the President or Board. IAOTP honored Emily as the Top Inspirational Entrepreneur & Speaker 2023.
When you ask Emily what she does for a living, her answer is nothing short of inspiring: “I'm here to empower the next generation of change-makers with the strategy, tools, and guidance they need to change the world, one heart-centered decision at a time.”
